What was so awesome about Awesome Con? Where do I begin?
First, a BIG thank you to Awesome Con and its entire staff for being super helpful. Any request we had they fulfilled. I had a volunteer ask if I could use some help when he saw me struggle with merchandise. I never saw a staff member who was upset, and everyone bent over backwards to help out.
Next let’s talk panels. I didn’t have much opportunity to attend panels, but I was able to catch the end of “5 Things I’d Do Differently If I Started My Webcomic NOW…” I recognized Dan Nokes of 21st Century Sandshark Studios, and Charles Dowd of Dark Lilith. I’m sorry to the other two panelists who I did not recognize (feel free to give yourself credit by commenting), but everyone did an excellent job and gave great advice.
Afterwards was our “Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse 101” panel. THANK YOU EVERYONE for coming out! It was standing room only! Not only did I have a great time presenting my panel, but the questions in the Q&A were well thought out and engaging. I tried my best to answer your questions, however if you have more questions or you want clarification, please feel free to email me at penguinprince@grimcrew.com. Your question may even get featured in a future blog!
All I can say about the dealer room is WOW! Well set up with plenty of room in the isles, and behind the booths. And despite that, the convention always seemed to be packed due to the number of attendees. Everyone was friendly and very fun to talk to. The highlight of my con was when Theodus Crane walked by and said hi. I went fan boy and stood there with my mouth open.
D.C., you were wonderful. Awesome Con, you were phenomenal. And to our new fans who are joining us for the first time, you all rock! Thank you so much for making this convention a blast for everyone! We can’t wait to be back next year! In the time being, don’t forget to our Facebook, and Google + pages.

Yes we did change the website. No I’m not going brony on you. April fools, and check out our first convention this year!
We at Grim Crew and Raven Warren Studios are gearing up for our first convention of the year! We will be at Awesome Con DC on April 20th and 21st! We are really excited because it will be one of the bigger shows we will go to this year and they will be having tons of great guests like Nicholas Brendon (Xander-Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Theodus Crane (“Big Tiny” – The Walking Dead), Ben Templesmith (Writer – 30 Days of Night), Billy West (Phillip J. Fry - Futurama, Stimpy – Ren and Stimpy) , and my most anticipated guest Ernie Hudson (Winston – Ghostbusters).
But what really has me pumped up is that I’m giving a huge, 1 hour panel at the convention, and I thought that it would be a great idea to prepare for it by going over some of the material I’ll be covering.
The panel will called Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse 101. I hope to bring in some items for my last zombie apocalypse panel and change some things to include some basic combat info to make it more exciting. Over the next few posts I’ll go over some of the items that I’d like to cover. I want to hear what you guys think. If you have any suggestions please feel free to comment below or send me an email at penguinprince@grimcrew.com.
If you’re able to come out to the convention please come see us at our booth and my panel! If not, I’m going to try to get it taped and I’ll put it up on YouTube for everyone if you’re interested. If you were at my last zombie apocalypse panel let me know what you would like to see changed or added, and please come out to this one as well as I promise I’ll be changing things up to keep it fresh and entertaining.
If you want to chime in on this topic leave comments in the comment section below. Don’t forget to check out our Facebook, and Google + pages for more zombie goodness. As always be safe and I’ll see you Wednesday for more zombie goodness!

Happy Halloween everyone! I dressed up for our latest convention, so I found it fitting to write about it on the #1 costume day of the year. I can honestly say this is one of the most fun cons I’ve been to all year! I love it when I get a chance to dawn my zombie makeup and scare some people! And I took full advantage of Halloween to do that too.
This convention started like many others. We got there, set up, and I was sent out for breakfast. After a quick snack it was time for Jess from Octopus Tree House to zombie me up. Even though the makeup kit I bought was cheep, she did an amazing job at turning me undead. And the reaction I got from the attendees was very awesome. Most people loved it! Some people were scared by it. But all in all I think it was a much better job than we had for last year’s Baltimore Comic Con.
My first order of business now as the new zombie me, was to go out and promote. Trying to stay in character while handing out business cards promoting your comics is not an easy task. The shuffling and leg dragging. And with all the reactions I was getting, it was hard not to laugh. After making my way around once or twice, we decided that I needed to go out and get lunch. When I say we, I mean everyone else from the group. This did have the added bonus of getting to walk to Jimmy John’s zombie style and freak out a few people eating outside.
Once back at the convention I made another round trying to hand out business cards. And when that stopped working… I busted out the candy. There is just something about giving out candy that’s really satisfying. It’s like you get to share a little bit of happiness with everyone you meet. Well I got to tell you that doing it dressed as a zombie with a fake hand in the candy bowl is a lot more fun. It was a great way to get the word out and remind everyone of my panel that was coming up. The best story I have of this was when I came up to some a vendor table offering candy and we got to discussing the zombie situation. She had on a set of those cat ears that react to how you feel (picture below). So if your sad, they droop down. If something catches your attention and puts you on alert, they pick up.

The portable cheep way to find out how she really feels. I’m making all my dates wear one from now on. {1}
Well the woman starts out telling me that out of all the monsters out their she feels that zombies could be the ones that would end up being real. Of course I agreed with her. She goes on to explain how her theory of some type of fungus could mutate our brains turning us all into zombies. So at this point I feel obligated to point out that this already happens in nature, that there are ants, bees and slugs out there who have parasites (fungus, larva, and worms, respectively) who take over the brain of the animal and give them zombie like tendencies.
At this point she starts to back away from me. Her eyes get big, like teacup saucer big. She starts stammering “W-w-what?” All this time her cat ears are swiveling back and forth like two kids on swivel chairs hyped up on pixie sticks and mountain dew. It was the funniest thing I’ve ever seen. She was so embarrassed she had to turn them off.
After this I got to have fun giving my panel: Zombie Survival Hollywood Style! We watched clips of our favorite zombie movies and I got to give commentary on what the character did wrong, or right. My favorite part of this was watching an 8 minute clip of Dead Snow. Not only did we get to laugh at this zombie horror comedy (or is it just me who feels it’s a comedy?), but I got to see everyone’s faces as they watched all the bloody fight scenes for the first time. And when I say bloody, I mean bloody. If the budget for the movie was $50,000, I would guess at least $30,000 was spent on blood and special effects.
After the show, the convention started to wind down. But that didn’t stop us from having some fun. We took some pictures with our new life-size cutout of Kidthulhu,

That cut out was so worth it. All the kids wanted their picture with it. And one little girl kept looking for batman at our table. lol
stopped to talk to some fans,
and I made a new friend.
All in all it was a fun convention. And the Annapolis Comic Con will wrap up our convention season this year. Next year we get started again with our first convention being held in Washington DC. If you want us to come to your convention next year, send me an email to the address below.

All others were taken by Paul Peto from Octopus Tree House or by some random stranger I asked to hold my camera.
Oh yea baby, the Annapolis Comic Con is back. I have been spending a good portion of the weekend getting ready for my panel at the convention, and I’m probably going to prepare up to the last minute here so I’m going to keep my posts short this week.
First thing you need to know is that the convention will be held this Saturday (27th) at the Roger “Pip” Moyer Recreation Center. Tickets will be $10 at the door with children under 10 getting in free. This convention is going to be much larger than the one in the spring with more room for the dealer’s room and a large panel/activities section! You can always see all the details at the Annapolis Comic Con Website.
So what is Raven Warren Studios bringing to the table this time around? Well if you didn’t get a chance to get your hands on the first issue of Kidthulhu at Intervention Con, now is your opportunity! This hilarious story follows everyone’s favorite Lovcraftian monster of madness as a 5 year old boy with a penchant for mischief. When he teams up with his pet Shoggoth, you never know what kind of madness they will unleash on the world!
If you’re looking for something a little more for the serious reader, pick up the first ever issue of our new series, Winter’s Eye. What is the Winter’s Eye? What does it do? And why does it keep showing up throughout history? This anthology is a collaboration effort from many artists and writers from all over the world. Without knowing what the other stories were going to be about, the writers were given the challenge to write a story, any story, that included the mysterious object called The Winter’s Eye. It was up to the writer to determine what role, if any, this object played in their stories. The result is a collection of stories that surprisingly, fit really well together and complement each other. This book has received great reviews so far and we can’t wait to share it with you. If you are looking for a different kind of horror story this Halloween, this is the book for you!
You can’t have a Halloween comic convention without a zombie panel! I have been invited back to share my zombie expertise with an all new panel focusing on the blunders, the hilarity, and the awesomeness of zombie movies. Come take an adventure with me where we will laugh about and learn from the errors of our silver screen idols! Featuring cut scenes from epic zombie movies like Zombie Land, Shawn of the Dead, Dead Snow, Army of Darkness, and more! Warning, this show will be rated R for excessive violence, gore, blood, and language. This is not a show for the faint of heart, the weak of stomach, small children, or anyone who would object to this kind of material. Join in on the discussion, or just laugh along! Limited seating will be available, so show up early to get a good spot, and enjoy the pre-show music videos! Show starts at 3PM and seating opens whenever the previous panel gives up the space!

Yea, I’ve been know to take a bite once in a while. Other zombies are safe though, so dress up and take advantage of the zombie group photo opp. Hunters are invited as well… we think your delicious.
I know that this convention also has a bunch of exclusives, and extras, and being Halloween, you know there will be candy! So join us, dress up, and have a ball at the Annapolis Comic Con! Last but not least if anyone dresses up like a zombie I will be taking group zombie pictures right after the Costume Contest! Join me at the back of the panel room for a group photo opp!

This weekend Raven Warren Studios is going to have an intervention. No we haven’t had enough zombies yet. And by no means have we gone insane with Kidthulhu (Yet). But we do need some help. And that help just happens to come through a small convention called Intervention Con.
This convention is held in Rockville MD every year, just north of DC. The growth this convention has had in the last three years has been astounding and we hope this third year is the one that makes this convention big! It’s three days of convention with more than enough activities to keep everyone busy! This is a convention that focuses more on providing excellent and engaging panels and activities more than a comic book dealer room, but we will be in the dealer room all three days selling our wears. If you do anything on the internet, then you will want to be at this convention.
From panels from some of the web comic industries top names, to art and writing reviews, they have a little something for everyone! Free movies will be playing for those who want to chill to some goofy theater, and instruction panels will be given for everything on improving your website, starting your e-business to even just getting more readers to your blog.
One of the best things about this convention is even though it’s a long one, it is held in the Hilton Double Tree hotel. So not only are the digs swanky, but if you get tired and want to take a nap, it’s as simple as taking an elevator up to your room for a quick snooze. The other amenities provided by the hotel also make this convention super nice to go to. An outdoor area if you want to grab a cigarette or just want to catch some fresh air. A bar and restaurant for convent dining and partying (again this is where the rooms come in handy). And did I mention the courteous staff that won’t even roll their eyes when they see you walk in their 4 star hotel with a Zuebat costume on.

Our table at Intervention Con last year. This year we have new stuff… maybe even the coveted Kidthulhu will have some new stuff?
One of the things I liked most about this convention are its game rooms. Now I’ve been to conventions where the gaming areas are humongous (Otakon for example) but what this game room lacks in size, it certainly makes up for in variety and sperit. We are talking about the latest and greatest games from the newest gaming rigs, and even the #1 classics from when your Pappy was playing on his Commodore 64. Not to mention the nicest Rock Band set up I have ever seen with all the premium equipment (Yes even a full mettle kick for the base drum), and every song ever released for the series. Ever. Let’s put it this way, the video game room is supposed to close around 10. The party on Rock Band usually doesn’t end till 3AM!
But wait, didn’t I say game rooms? Why yes I believe I did. They have a set up for over 100 different board games you can loan out like a library. We are talking everything from Parcheesi to Settlers of Catan. From Backgammon to Dominion. And to top it all off there are usually game tournaments going on all weekend. Think your Magic The Gathering deck is the best? Give it a try! Think you have what it takes to rise in the ranks of Ascension? Try taking my main man Martin on. He’ll take you to school! Think you can live like a high roller in Monopoly? Well let’s just see if we call you Rich Uncle Pennybags at the end! Now I can’t say for sure that these tournaments will be held, but it gives you an idea of what you can take a part in!
Do you like your games a little more lively? What about taking part of their weekend long Larp. No area of the convention is safe when trying to match your skills with other Wizards, Ninja, and yes, zombies running around.
And when you get a break from all the cool panels, games and activites going on, be sure to stop by the dealers room to see our latest comics coming out. Or pick up that copy of Dead Future Anthology you have always had your eye on! Stop by and chat some zombies with me or discuss the ongoing story ark for Convocation with Ryana Hunter!
Wait did I mention the free giveaways? This convention is serious about the internet, so you know some of the best prizes are going to be given away to enhance your experience on the net, or enhance the content you put out! These guys aren’t even joking. For just attending and signing up, you could win one of three Intuos 5 Medium pen tablets, one of several copies of Manga Studio 4 (Debut and EX), and Anime Studio (Debut and Pro), Giant Squishables, Bush Garden’s Williamsburg Tickets (hey even geeks need to come out from behind the computer sometimes), AND MORE! Guys, just one of these prizes more than pays for you $45 entry fee to the convention.
Yes I said all this for only $45! All weekend, all three days! That gives you plenty of extra money to buy a book right? I haven’t even begun to mention the live musical performances, other dance’s and parties, special guests, ect. I would be writing for a whole week! Instead why don’t you just go to the convention website for more details! http://interventioncon.com/
And one last thing before I go for today guys, just announced yesterday. If you still want to get a hotel room for the special convention rate of $114 a night, all you have to do is use the special code on the convention website, or show up and say your there for the convention and you can rent a room for the special rate! Sweet deal huh?
There I’m done!

Baltimore Comic Con. Oh how we love thee. Let us count the ways. Ok, let’s not but let us do go over the highlights of the con. Our big promotion this convention was the SD Card scavenger hunt we had. We took some Micro SD Cards and hid them in envelopes throughout the convention. These SD Cards had awesome promotional comics, backgrounds and other artwork for the lucky winner’s computers! And I’m not only talking for Dead Future or Raven Warren Studios. Our buddies at Octopus Tree House and Lillith Dark also pitched in and provided hidden goodness. Thank you Paul Petyo and Charles Dowd for being such great partners in this!
On our Facebook page we put clues as where you could find them. Most were given to other vendors to hand out if you gave them the phrase “I want my brains.” This was supposed to be a giveaway for our loyal fans on Facebook. We quickly realized however that out of our limited fans on Facebook, not many were going to come to this specific convention. So on Sunday we decided to spice things up. I had attempted to make a pitiful sign in which Paul had spruced up for me, and I was sent on the March around the convention hall telling people to find those SD Cards. Of course when I just simply told people to find the SD Cards, they looked at me suspiciously and asked if I was keeping them down my pants. I needed to change strategies. So instead I started telling people I was giving away free comics.
That did the trick!
This really got a good number of people to break out their smart phones and head on over to our Facebook page (Thank you to anyone who Liked us from the convention by the way). I’m happy to say that at the end of it all, the SD Card promotion was a big success. We only had to bring home 2 cards which we plan on using at a future convention.
Some of our customers found surprises on the back of their cool new Kidthulhu buttons! Have you seen these things? Basically we got tired of people telling us no one was worth voting for. So instead we gave you a few alternatives. On your ballot this year, write in Kidthulhu. We would finally have a candidate who wouldn’t lie, cheat or deceive to get into office. Just remember that that list didn’t include “driving everyone insane.” The buttons were designed by Marcus Busher and were a big hit among Lovecraftian fans.
So now that we say goodbye to Baltimore Comic Con what do we have to look forward to? Intervention Con! This one is just around the corner on the weekend of September 28, 29, and 30th join us for 3 full days of internet foolishness, and awesome video gaming! Go to the Intervention Con website for more details on how you can get tickets to what is growing every year to be one of the best conventions held in Maryland!
As you can see I did not get many pictures from the show, the one I did take I posted on Monday. If you would like to share your own pictures email them to me at penguinprince@grimcrew.com and I will feature them on our Facebook Page as well as put them in my upcoming posts.
If you had some memories from this show you want to share, be sure to comment below, or feel free to email me at penguinprince@grimcrew.com. We would love to hear from some of our contest winners to see what you thought of our give away! You can also follow Dead Future on Facebook and Google +. The final countdown is under way. There is only six days left until the Baltimore Comic Con! So with that in mind, I thought I would share some of my tips for enjoying yourself at the convention. I’ve been to conventions at the Baltimore Convention Center for years now and consider myself a little bit of an expert when it comes to the area. So if you are looking for a good time while at your visit in Baltimore, here is your guide!
First of all, arriving to the convention center is very easy. My preferred method involves using public transportation. It cheep, and relatively hassle free. If you’re coming from inside Baltimore, I would suggest taking the bus system. It’s not the fastest way of getting there, but it’s a whole lot better than driving. However my preferred method of public transportation to the convention is via Light Rail. The Light Rail system has a stop that’s directly next to the Convention Center. This makes it super convenient. Not to mention that the Light Rail System is a straight shot north and south. So unlike the bus system, it is simple to navigate and a lot quicker too. I personally live south of Baltimore, so I take my car to the light rail station, and take the rail in. The worst restriction is that the rail system only runs to 11 PM. So if you are looking for some after convention partying, this may not be the best solution.
Alternatively you could drive to the convention. If you arrive early for the day, and leave late, traffic will not be too bad. It is convent to get to from the beltway and you won’t have to deal with many side streets. Your major problem will be parking. Expect parking spots near the convention center to charge around $20 for the weekend. If you decide on driving, take a van with several friends and have them each pay a bit for parking to cut down on your costs. Of course the further away you park, the cheaper the price will be. Still expect parking to be anywhere from $10-20 for the day. Also many of the parking garages near the convention center close at 10 or 11 PM, so still going to the bars or an after party is not all that feasible. Some of the bars and clubs in the area do have late night parking however so if you don’t mind hoofing it, or taking the bus to the convention center, there are alternatives.
A great way to get away from the expensive parking and the hour restrictions is to get a hotel room. Many of the hotels in the area have parking for their guests, and also provide free shuttle service to the convention center. Pricing for the rooms is usually expensive however, and now that we are less than a week away, if you haven’t booked already, you might find it hard to get a room at anything close to a decent rate. Again take a lot of friends with you to cut down on the costs.
If you’re traveling from a long distance, and don’t mind taking the light rail, a good alternative to the high prices of intercity hotels is to get one around the BWI Airport. The airport has many hotels to choose from and usually still have rooms open even this late in the game. Also because most of their business is based off of the airport, you can find better rates than you can at a hotel anticipating large crowds from a convention. The hotels around the airport usually will have free shuttle service to the Light Rail Station, and if you still want to party a bit, find a hotel with a bar in it. This way, once you’ve had your fun you will have a safe place to rest it off.
But no matter what the circumstance is, do not drive drunk. It is always better to take public transportation, or select a designated driver than to drive while intoxicated. Maryland police officers are hard on drunk drivers, not to mention the risk you will be putting yourself at as well as the people around you. So please find another alternative.
Moving on, you now probably have a better idea of what you will be doing to get to the convention, but what about food at the con? Luckily the convention center will have a cafeteria open so you don’t even need to leave the convention hall to eat. But if your looking for something better than con food, you will want to take a break and find some place to eat. There are several restaurants around the convention center that would be happy to take some of your money to give you a decent meal. But keep in mind the closer you eat to the convention center, the longer you will have to wait in line. If you don’t mind waiting my personal favorites for fast food near the convention would be Jimmy Johns and California Tortilla. Good prices with great food. For something a little fancier, stop by the Kona Grill. Expect larger prices, but it’s the best sushi I’ve had that close to the inner harbor ever. If you know of a better place, please let me know. But I’ve rated it 3/3 stars and when I went there, everything was excellent!
Of course, the further you go from the convention center, the shorter the wait will be. In theory. If you stray towards S Paca Street, depending on the time of day you could potentially eat at one of the sports bars with very little wait. Just make sure an O’s game is not on the schedule that day. Heading North towards Lombard Street and East Baltimore Street will reward you with shorter waiting times as well.
But if you want to see the shinning pride of Baltimore, there is no place like the Inner Harbor. There are many restaurants that are conveniently accessible by skywalk from the convention center. And once your there at the harbor you can have your choice from mall cafeteria to sit down stake. A lot of the places have excellent views of the harbor as well. But if you want a sit down, take a load off experience like Uno’s or The Cheesecake Factory, expect a wait time from between ½ hour to 45 mins.
And if your looking for night life, Baltimore has plenty of that near the convention center as well. Any of the numerous local pubs will gladly have you sit down and share a pint. But if your looking for a party, head to Power Plant live where you will have your pick of clubs to take part in depending on your taste. Or maybe you want to share a laugh with some friends. The Baltimore Comedy Factory usually will have shows on Saturday night full of laughs. I would check out the schedule at www.baltimorecomidey.com for show times and schedules.
But no matter what you do at the Baltimore Comic Con this year, don’t forget to see us in Artist Ally. And if you happen to stop by, don’t forget to check our Facebook and Google + page for hints on where you can find one of our SD cards we will be hiding at the convention! And don’t forget to visit the Baltimore Comic Con Website for more details about the con! Hope to see you there!

We would like to take a moment and thank everyone from Amazing Conventions for putting on an excellent convention. The space was amazing. Plenty of room for everyone! The wide walking isles were convenient for all the attendees and the spacious room between tables meant more room for dealers to set up and move around. They also did a great job at making sure that the tables were filled with a great variety of vendors, dealers, and artists.
They had something for everyone. From local webcomic artists pushing their website, to big name artists like Matt Slay and Louis Small! Dealers had plenty of comic bins to sort through which kept a lot of the collectors busy. But what was a great change of pace with this convention was the variety in vendors pushing all different kinds of products. They had the creator of Conquest Tactics at the show who was kind enough to talk to me about his creation process and give me a few tips to beat the pants off of Martin next time we play. Other vendors included Crash Gems who create kick ass sculptures, Kraser Studios who were pushing their new RPG/CCG Dark Legacy (I bought both promo decks), and Sharp Shirter whose “Manly” tees and cute phone cases had everyone flocking to their table. Rita’s was even there, which was a godsend because yesterday’s temperature high was 105 degrees outside and the poor AC just could not keep up.

Crash Gems crafted this awesome figure for Kidthulhu! Keep checking www.tummelvision.com for news on when you can get your own!
Something else that made this convention extra special was that we got to hold the first ever Grim Crew Zombie Apocalypse Survival Quiz! The game show went off without a hitch and the staff at Awesome Conventions did a great job at making sure we had everything we needed and helping us set up. The contestants, and the audience seemed to enjoy themselves as we gave away some great prizes and had a lot of fun. My only regret is that we didn’t have anyone who could be there to take pictures. So if anyone who was at the panel has pictures, please send them to me at penguinprince@grimcrew.com!
And a special thank you must go out to my three guest judges who did an excellent job at cracking jokes, and asking engaging follow up questions to our contestants. Dan Nooks always brought the humor with his quirky comments and even utilizing the left over write on wipe off boards to give messages to the audience like “I swear this game wasn’t rigged, but I do take bribes.” Check out his 2 zombie books Adam and Eve: Bizarre Love Triangle in the Zombie Apocalypse volumes 1 & 2! We also had the ever talented Charles Dowd from Lilith Dark. This man did his homework. He asked the follow up questions that made our contestants sweat. And last but not least we were graced by the presents of the one and only Greg LaRocque. With absolutely no preparation time whatsoever, Greg stole the show with his insightful view on what should be done in a zombie apocalypse. If you don’t recognize Greg’s work, you don’t know your comics. He has worked for both Marvel and DC on projects like The Flash, Justice League, The Avengers, and Spider-man. Thank you guys so much for helping out!
And so ends another great convention. We can’t wait to see everyone again at our biggest convention of the year, Baltimore Comic Con in September! Look forward to updates on some of your favorite series from Grim Crew and some brand new series and projects that will be released! Don’t forget to check back often!

I feel a fever coming on. And the only prescription is more conventions! That’s right guys; convention season is right around the corner! What do I mean about that? Well our very next convention is going to be Southern Maryland Comic Con on July 7th! That’s right we get to come out of the 4th of July with a kick ass local convention. The last time we were here these guys blew us away with the fan support for such a small upstart convention. This time they are turning up the heat and going bigger, and better.
That’s right bigger and better! They have 90 tables of swag and art to go through. The place it’s “huger” (direct quote from Ben who runs the convention). And this time they have panels and events to spark up new interest! Everything from art making, to costume contests. From a panel about web comics, to a Conquest demonstration! You like Magic: The Gathering? Come take part in their humongous tournament scheduled to run from 11am all the way till 4pm featuring the new expansion Avacyn Restored!
Not to mention you will get to meet some serious talent. From artist ally stars, to local legends come meet some awesome artists of some of your favorite comics! Names like Tim Seeley (Revival), Greg LaRoque (Flash, Spider Man, Avengers), J.K. Woodard (Star Trek), and Matt Slay (TMNT, Marvel: Avengers Assemble!).
And as if that wasn’t enough to get you to come on out at 1pm yours truly will be hosting the first ever Grim Crews’ Zombie Apocalypse Survivor Quiz! You think you have what it takes to survive a zombie apocalypse? Our expert panel of judges will decide your worth as you compete against other contestants for fabulous prizes! Signups for being a contestant will be at the Raven Warren Studio Booth and will be open up till ½ hour before the panel. The contestants will be drawn randomly from the pool of sign ups and 4 lucky fans will get the chance to go head to head to become Grim Crews’ Zombie Apocalypse Survivor! All contestants will receive a prize for participating, with the prizes getting better and better as you progress! If you don’t get picked, don’t worry you’ll still have a shot at fabulous giveaways as I choose audience members to answer trivia questions and perform dares for comics. That’s right comics! What’s better than going to a comic book convention and getting free comics? Am I right?

You want to have some fun with the Grim Crew? Well, the Southern Maryland Comic Con is having another convention coming up on July 7th and the Grim Crew is going to be sponsoring a very special event.
Do you think you have what it takes to survive a zombie apocalypse? You think you have the know how to save you and your friends from the undead? Well I invite you to test your survival knowledge in the first ever Grim Crew Zombie Survival Quiz! Here’s how it works 4 contestants will get to stand in front of a panel of zombies or “special guest judges” and answer 3 rounds of questions. After each round the zombies will collaborate on the best and worst answers. The best answers, will gain you survival to the next round. The worst, will get you eaten.
At the third round only two survivors will remain. After their last question, the zombies will consider the answers for all questions asked and will determine who will be Grim Crews Zombie Survivor!
So do you think you have what it takes to be a survivor? Find out on July 7th. The contestants will all receive fabulous prizes, still to be determined. Even if your not chosen as a contestant you can still get the chance to win as we pick members of the audiance out at random to answer trivia questions, and preform dares to win.
Lots of prizes and good times will be had by all! So be sure to join us for all the fun on Saturday July 7th from 10 AM to 5 PM at 3033 Waldorf Market Place,
