The zombie website of the month sometimes has to go to a website that’s not 100% dedicated to zombies. The website for The Federal Vampire and Zombie Agency is so cool, I just had to share. Sure the site is a little lack luster in appearance, but what it is missing in visual umph, it more than makes up for in content.

The site is trying to pass itself off as a site for the secretive agency designed by the government sometime around World War II that was tasked for not only finding the vaccine for the zombie and vampire epidemics, but also playing a big part in bringing the two populations to a manageable level. A small portion of the website is also devoted to werewolves, however they are not as thoroughly covered as they pose less of a threat to humans than the vampires and zombies.

The information contained on the site is surprisingly thorough. It covers everything from the “history” of the agency, to zombie stories/cases, to their biology, sociology, and even fighting methods. At the end of it all, you can take a test to verify your zombie/vampire/wolf knowledge, and see what part of the agency you would be assigned to had you applied for a position.

I’m on the assault team. Hell yea! {1}

One of the more interesting things that I saw reported on the website, was the theory that zombies have the ability to repair their nervous system. According to the website there have been cases where the subject zombie has had its spinal cord severed, and yet the next day it is able to get up and walk again.

Another thing I loved about this site was the stories and history painted by the content of the site. Not only do you have the case studies, but then if you read up on biography of Dr. Hugo Pecos you can find out even more about the history of the origination. The biography is  so well written, you have a somewhat hard time in remembering that the story is make believe.

If you have some time to kill, or just want a fascinating read I would suggest checking out this site it will give you plenty of entertainment, plus some good tips on self defense techniques. Worse comes to worse, at least check out some of the zombie pictures they have on the site. They will well worth your time.

Reportedly taken in 1954, this photo was courtesy of the coroner’s office in Macon County GA. {2}
