Before I get started today I just wanted to point out one thing. You have probably noticed I put links in all of articles I write about. I don’t have first hand knowledge of the events we discuss. I did not take the time to do actual reporting here. I take the articles that others have written and I summarize them for you to bring you the best zombie news of the week. I ask that you please follow the links if you would like to know more about the article written. Often times the original source articles have a lot more information and more complete reporting than I do, and I find it important that I lead back to their work. Drugs will make you do stupid things. This year we have been introduced to bath salts which some claim are behind all the “zombie attacks” this year. These drugs have to potential to make people invulnerable, super strong, and have a malicious craving for flesh. But as bad as all this is, it has never made anyone look like a zombie. Leave it to Russia to find a job to do that. Krododil is a drug that literally will rot the skin off your body, and more. So far users have been limited to Russia, and no reports of the drug have been found in the United States. But this stuff is scary. Users claim that it is a cheap alternative to Heroin except that it feels disgusting even for the users. But the smaller price tag will come at a high expense for those who foolishly decide to try it out. As you use it your skin starts to turn gray and flaky. Frequent users start to develop sores and lesions from this toxic drug. Some reports say that the decay is so bad it will expose the bones of the users.
There are unconfirmed pictures of the side effects of these drugs circulating the internet. If you are interested in seeing some you can follow the link at the end of this warning. Some even show how user’s bones become exposed due to advanced decay. I’m not talking small sections either. Seriously, don’t eat before following this link. Now that that’s over another drug related story was a major part of the news last week as well. Ronald Poppo, the survivor in the infamous Miami Zombie Attack spoke to reporters last week about the attack. He didn’t have much to say. That’s not surprising however. I doubt Poppo had a long pleasant chat with Rudy Eugene before being turned into an all you can eat buffet. According to our source article all he said was that Eugene attacked him. “He just ripped me to ribbons. He chewed up my face. He plucked out my eyes. Basically that’s all there is to say about it.” Are people shocked that he didn’t have anything more to say? Were they hoping to find out the secrets behind why Eugene’s psychotic actions? I’m sorry people the only one who will probably know what was going through that boy’s head is Rudy himself. Let’s let Poppo rest shall we?
One other thing to note, I just read in the article where I got my picture from (see source at bottom of page) that Ronald Poppo, despite his condition is rather charming and up beat. He hasn’t ever been reported to complain about the condition he’s been put in and is always pleasant to talk to. Now here’s a man cut from a different cloth. My last article is about something near and dear to all thrill seekers hearts. Halloween may be 2 months away, but haunted house productions are already in full swing preparing for the frightful season. I will try to report a little on zombie related haunted houses every week leading up to Halloween, so if you’re searching for a good scare in your neighborhood check back here for some suggestions! Ohio seems to always come up with some great scare houses each year. Reportedly this year is no exception. My source article claims three unique attractions this year will be gracing this state including The Fear Experience (Cleveland), The Factory of Terror (Canton), and Forsaken (Mentor). The Fear Experience, and The Factory of Terror will not only feature some of the scariest scenes to scar your mind, but also paintball experiences to round out the zombie festivities. Nothing feels better to subside your fears than lighting up some zombies. The Fear Experience also has an attraction that I will be happy to skip thank you very much. It will boast an attraction where you get to experience a funeral from inside the coffin. That’s right, get yourself buried 6 feet under in this attraction they have dubbed Buried Alive. Again I say a polite “No thank-you.”
For retro fear you have got to check out Forsaken. Reportedly this 50’s style attraction is so popular because of its graphic detail and unique attractions. To me some of the scariest experiences are ones that center and focus more on you than it does of the actors and their antics. So if you’re looking for something different, this would be the place.
