This is going to be a short post. Why might you ask? Because I’m busting my but to get everything ready for the Southern Maryland Comic Con tomorrow. So I really only have 2 things to report.
First, it turns out that Rudy Eugene was not on bath salts as initial reports suggested. In fact he was on no drugs other than Marijuana. There have been no cases in history (no not even in those messed up 70’s anti-marijuana ads) where anyone has gone so Hulk that they have eaten the face off another human being and became so oblivious to pain that it takes 6 shots from a gun to kill them from ingesting marijuana. In fact I gamble that if Rudy did not dope up before his naked jaunt around Miami that he might have gone full zombie and attempted to get at Ronald Poppo’s brain.
So what caused Eugene to go all Cookie Monster on Poppo’s face? No one knows. It’s got everyone stumped. Sure he had a few run-ins with the law. He may have suffered from depression. But no one is saying he was ever bat-shit insane. His girlfriend blames Voodoo, but voodoo zombies don’t eat the faces of other people. And they certainly don’t swing from light posts in their birthday suite.
